Why Integrative Psychotherapy?
The term “integrate” can be defined as the process of combing elements so that they become a unified whole. Although integrative methods vary, in my practice this refers to a therapeutic process that is grounded in psychodynamic psychology, which considers how early experiences may contribute to your present circumstances. I incorporate elements of mindfulness practices, trauma-informed somatic psychology, creative methods, and dreamwork where appropriate. I value an integrative approach to therapy because I believe it honors the unique humanity of each of my clients by placing the focus on treating the whole person; body, mind, and spirit.
